Stai but I go by Tony. I've been working in software
development for the last 20 years (even more if you count coding in
Junior High and High School). I've only recently (2 years)
begun my involvement in internet marketing. About 2 years
ago, I started a Yahoo store dropshipping "As Seen On TV" products,
which has been a learning experience in itself. But I was
trying to drive traffic to this store so I needed to learn more about
SEO, Internet Marketing and other such things. Well, that was
the start of another chapter on writing tools for Site Development and
Marketing. Right now we're at the beginning of this chapter.
I started by writing a traffic exchange
surfing tool that allowed you
to surf multiple exchanges simultaneously. That met with much
resistence from the Exchange owners - even though you can do the exact
same thing in Firefox and IE7. So I put it on the shelf.
Next came Private
Label Rights Integrator Studio. I started
getting content from Private Label Rights sources and found that
getting 50 documents and trying to manipulate them and put in html
pages was a pain in the but. So I wrote some software to do
that. Then I found that to submit those articles to Article
Directories, I would need to make them unique so I added that
functionality as well.
Now
we've come to the SEO task of getting your site listed. I
tried some
demo's of other software and found that most were lacking in what I
considered critical features such as autofill and submission tracking
and reports. So, I put my software developer hat on and got
busy on
Directory Site Submitter. After about a month or so, I had
something
that I would work but wasn't as full featured as I had hoped.
Remember, only doing this in my spare time. So, I
spent another month
to really get it where I was proud of it and thought it would become an
easy sell into the SEO market.
